BIOGRAPHY
M.Mus, B.Mus, ARCT, AVCM, completed her Master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Dr. Doreen Rao, Agnes Grossman and Raffi Armenian. During this time she also studied Advanced Vocal Pedagogy with Lorna Macdonald. Her undergraduate studies in Vocal and Piano performance were completed at the University of Victoria and the Victoria Conservatory of Music. In past summers, Nancy has studied singing abroad in Vienna, Austria with Edith Wiens, and the Kodaly concept in Kecskemet, Hungary. Most recently, she participated at the Eastman Summer Conducting Institute with Dr. Weinert and Dr. Flummerfelt. She has a passion for teaching all ages, from beginner to advanced levels. As well as teaching, Nancy is actively pursuing her conducting career and singing voice. In addition to taking singing lessons with Lorna MacDonald, Nancy has founded the Cantala Women's Ensemble, a group of professional and non-professional singers who desire to explore the treble Choral literature.
